The Medical Escort Program
Lake Gogebic Senior Citizens Club Inc. offers a medical escort program to seniors age 60 or older who need transportation assistance to medical facilities.
We ask clients to cover the cost of parking fees and any other costs associated with the trip. If the trip is over four hours, we also ask the client to provide the driver with meal costs for a lunch as a general courtesy. Our agency provides a mileage reimbursement up to 200 miles round trip. Anything over 200 miles would need to be covered by the client.
We need a 48-hour or more advanced notice to make the proper arrangements and contacts. If your appointment is scheduled on a Monday, please notify the office by the prior Thursday.
The medical escort program has a limited budget. Donations are welcome and help increase our budgeted amount. Donations can be mailed to our office. If you have any questions and for more information on our Medical Escort Program, please give us a call.
